Nearly two years later after reading the book for a book club; I purchased this one on Kindle and starting to read it. Since it has been quite some time, I had to re-connect to the characters and nearly got confused between Sidra and Sidney, and which one had kids but the author brought it to my attention early on.There are numerous characters, and a number of them who are easily deceived, feeling betrayed, and being fed on their own perceptions and assumptions about Sidney Lyons. This poor girl has no idea how many people are sneaking behind her back. So much drama speedily has occurred in the first half of the eBook read that may be a bit to keep up.
"people will smile in your face but are not happy for you." This seems to be the case for Sidney, and the calling she has on her life, where Pastor Canaan Styles and others are spying on her to make sure she is the perfect, godly fit. I think sometimes ministers and/or ministries take things too far; God is our judge. People constantly want to tie you to your past instead of moving forward with your future.

I enjoyed this book.... a lot. My only challenge with the story was with the epilogue....where did the husband come from????? The actor just came from out of nowhere....and all of a sudden she was married. Other than that the book was really good....as a matter of fact....I'm about to start book 3!!
Sometimes when bad things happen to good people, we tend to not focus on what the Lord full plan is but rather the hurt party. We even question the Lord. We forget that the Lord came for all and is working with all. He's ready to take our hand when we've done well and when we made poor choices. No Weapon reminded me of this and I forever grateful.
I have fallen in love with this series. There's never a dull moment in this book AND its full of encouragement!!! I was so hoping that Sidney & Terrance would end up together! But we all know that God works in mysterious ways....so I'll have to download the next book to see how Terrances' story will unfold!!! If you're looking for encouragement and a great read, you have to read this series!!!! Thanks to the author for such an "inspiring" read!
If I could give ten stars as a review I would. I enjoyed every character the good as well as the bad, well should I say the SAVED AND THE UNSAVED. I stop going to a church that I had been a member of for thirteen years because one member in a high position decided to try an convince a couple of members to go to pastor with some complaints that wasn't true so I could be removed from my position. Well I happen to be in the restroom and heard the plot........I haven't been to church since but thanks to this book I now understand what was happening at the time.....
.so this weekend I'm going back to church with the faith that God has a plan for me .
No Weapon is certainly an appropriate name for this book because Sidney has to know that No weapon formed against her shall prosper. Sidney gives her life to Christ, messes up, lets the enemy get in her ear and tries to take her own life. But when it fails, she gets some serious counseling, gets serious about serving God and that's when the attacks come. There are forces at work in Sidney's circle that mean to harm her. They want her destroyed by any means necessary and she will need every Spiritual Gift that God has instilled in her and the help of a very fine FBI agent to overcome them. No Weapon is a phenomenal book of betrayal, redemption, deliverance, love and most of all, salvation. Once you pick up this book you simply will not be able to put it down. I absolutely enjoyed every book in this series! I loved the way the author took you on a christian's growth journey (babe to adult) as the story line progressed, testing of the faith and standing on the promises. Spiritual warfare is so real, those walking in faith should be able to relate! LOVE THIS SERIES!
Five stars. Very good and suspenseful book. It's crazy how Pastor Styles completely lost in and not once consulted with God about Sidney and her spiritual gifts and call to ministry. Everyone was seeing it except him. I love how Sidney grew and even upon feeling the enemy may be winning, she came out in top. I do wish the book showed more of her new found relationship/marriage with the actor and how it developed at the end but I'm glad she found someone. Great read!
